Design Guidance
This document provides guidance for designing structures with seismic isolation and gives technical specifications for procuring seismic isolation systems and devices.

Structures with seismic isolation are currently designed as ‘alternative solutions’ as there are no relevant acceptable solutions or verification methods for demonstrating Building Code compliance. This guidance helps designers address this uncertainty.
